Kenya AA coffee is often mistaken as a type of coffee. Rather, AA is the highest ranking for coffee harvested in Kenya. Subsequent to milling, all Kenyan coffee is graded based on the screen size of the coffee bean. Generally, the largest beans are awarded the Kenya AA classification.
The coffee growing regions range from the highlands of Mt. Kenya and neighboring ranges. The acidic soil of these high plateaus provide excellent growing conditions for coffee plants.
These are powerful, bright coffees with complex undertones of citrus to berry to winey. One word best sums up Kenya AA - Vibrant!
