Coffee Profile
Ecuador is a country imense diversity: from the Pacific Ocean coastline to the snow covered Andean mountains to the dense vegetation of the Amazon Jungle. The environment is bountiful and the volcanic soil provides the base for growing premium coffees. Traditionally, the Jipijapa area, in the Manabí province, has been one of the main coffee producing areas in Ecuador with coffee being produced there since 1860.
Historic traditions have taught the farmers to pick these organically grown coffee beans by hand and let them dry under the sun and the wind naturally. This process is then complemented by the experience and skills of coffee professionals. Coffee from Ecuador is an unusual treat as most of coffee production is consumed locally.
This coffee is medium and mellow bodied with floral overtones and a distinctive, sharp and pleasant acidity.
